R&B vocalist Jesse Powell has died, according to a tweet by his family. He was 51.

Tamara Powell's sister Powell shared this statement in an Instagram post.

With a heavy heart we announce the passing away of our dear son, brother, and uncle Jesse Powell. He passed away peacefully in his Los Angeles residence, the statement said.

Jesse had an incredible passion for music, and several of his fans observed his brilliant career with great interest. We stand before you, his fans, to demonstrate his enduring legacy.

The exact cause of death or the date of death are unknown at this time.

Andy Powell released his self-titled debut album in March 1996. It contains the singles All I Need,  Gloria, and I Love It.

Within the LP album was You, a ballad that later became his signature song and appeared on his sophomore album, About It.

Powell's musical piece cowritten with Carl Roland is known as a beautiful tune. Roland produced it for Powell's second album. Powell's singing is incredibly sublime in this file.

The RIAA certified Heart Of The Year in 1999 for selling in excess of 500,000 copies.
